A Romantic Blue Wedding Overlooking the Mountains

For every bride and groom, the wedding day is meant to be not only a celebration, but also a time to spend time with loved ones. Hence, every couple wants to make the day just as memorable for each and every guest. This why soon-to-weds put all their heart and soul into the details of this day. Stephanie and Cyrus were no exception and as a result of all their efforts, their wedding day turned out to be a beyond beautiful union. Together with their wedding planner, The Amber Events, Stephanie and Cyrus put together a romantic blue-themed wedding that took place in a garden overlooking the mountains. All the details–from the rustic chairs, pastel floral decorations, rose gold cutlery, and transparent marquee tent covered in lights–made every corner of Stephanie and Cyrus’ wedding extra elegant. Stephanie’s minimalist wedding gown is also worth taking a closer look at; she looked gorgeous in it. We spend all day telling about all the stunning wedding details, but it will be better for you to check out all of the photos by Mary Ann Art & Photography below. Don’t miss out!

(1) Keep your calendar free for boutique visits.

One of your roles is to accompany the bride when she goes dress hunting and fitting. To make sure you’re there for her, keep your calendar relatively open so you can easily go with her during her trips.

(2) Be honest about your dress preferences.

While the bride might have some bridesmaid dress styles already in mind for everyone, be open to her ideas but also share your preferences. This way you two can come up with an outfit that you both like and that is still aligned with the wedding theme.

Modern Romanticism Comes to Life In This Styled Shoot Featuring Gowns By OM Design Studio

Today’s special feature will sweep you away into wonderland! The amazing tandem Joy Proctor (voted Top Designer by Harpers Bazaar) together and acclaimed photographer Laura Gordon have gifted us with this styled shoot that features a stunning display of high fashion bridal gowns from OM Design Studio. Deeply inspired by brides who dare to be different, OM Studio Design visualized wedding gowns that not only make a statement, but also connect with the intrinsic femininity of every bride-to-be. OM Studio Design used fabrics that mimic ocean waves, soft clouds, and glistening waters and paired these with silhouettes that celebrate the soft lines and the poetry behind the female form. Hence, each custom design dress from this collection is truly a captivating work of art. To make these dresses stand out, Joy Proctor chose a rustic heritage estate as the setting of the photo shoot. As a result, the juxtaposition between the soft, billowy fabrics and modern silhouettes with the aged, hard edges of the manor house turned every photo into a stylish exhibition of modernism meeting age-old romanticism. Wedding inspiration never looked this good! Scroll on to see more.

Familiarize Yourself With These Wedding Planning Terms! Here’s a Quick Guide For You

Venue

  • Al Fresco

If you hear this, especially when you come across venues, this means “out in the open air.” If you’ve been dreaming of an outdoor wedding, keep an eye out for wedding venues with al fresco options.

  • Uplighting

Do you want a dramatic wedding? If you do, then uplighting is for you! This term refers to lighting that comes from several lighting units placed along the perimeter of the space and projects light upwards on the walls, trees, etc.

  • Gobo Lighting

Another technical lighting term, this refers to lighting effects made with stencils placed in front of the lights. The stencils create patterns that project on the floor or walls adding depth and texture to the event atmosphere.

Ceremony

  • Unplugged Wedding

An unplugged wedding is a wedding where the couple requests attendees to refrain from taking photos and videos while the event is taking place. Many couples have been opting for unplugged wedding ceremonies so that everyone, guests included, can be more present and focus on the union.

  • Processional

The processional is the first walk down the aisle and the official start of the wedding ceremony.

  • Recessional

The recessional, on the other hand, refers to the second and final walk down the aisle after the wedding ceremony ends.
