It’s a no-brainer that we’re in love with garden weddings. There’s just nothing quite as romantic as being outdoors, surrounded by nature and the warmth of the sun, and you also can’t beat taking photos with an abundance of natural light. But to say that it’s challenging to find such spaces in Hong Kong is a complete understatement, so we figured we roundup a list for those of you who are on a search. We manage to find something for everyone — for budget or luxury, casual or formal, intimate or large parties.

HONG KONG ISLAND

1. The Verandah Repulse Bay

Every wedding marks the starting point of a couple’s life together and since Luna and Kevin have lived between Canada and the US for too long, they decided that this starting point has to be somewhere special. Santorini and its unrivaled beauty is the perfect location for the special union of two people and Luna and Kevin’s vision of what the day should look like will certainly not disappoint any romantic soul. The luxurious Sun Rocks Hotel provided the space, the wonderful Roberta Facchini captured every detail, Stella and Moscha brought it all together and present to you this super romantic wedding and the lovely couple that made it all come true.

On one of my rare weekends in Macau, I had the privilege of attending Sheraton Grand Macao and the St. Regis Macao‘s very first wedding showcase. It was indeed a celebration of love in the prettiest shades of pink with both hotels’ grand ballrooms exquisitely decorated for the world to see. Selected partners were present to provide services to couples planning for their wedding. All guests were treated to a dreamy fashion show by Central Weddings featuring gowns from top international designers, a demonstration of St. Regis’ signature champagne-sabering ritual, and a display of the Marchesa Bridal Capsule Collection for St. Regis Hotels and Resorts. Just the other week, I got to spend a quiet weekend in Macau in the comfort and luxury of the new St. Regis hotel, and I just can’t help but share with you my amazing experience! I’ve always been quite wary of staying in Macau hotels mainly because of how the properties there become so worn out by the constant influx of tourists. But the St. Regis name IS one of the most distinguished luxury hotel brands in the world, so I figured that a St. Regis anywhere had to be a luxurious treat.

Having just opened last year, the St. Regis Macao did not disappoint one bit. The moment I entered the lobby, their alluring signature fragrance filled the air (a huge factor for me personally in assessing the quality of any hotel). This scent followed me all the way to my beautiful room with a view. A true five-star hotel experience for me should really be a feast for all five senses, so I knew I was going to be one happy camper.

Home is where the heart is. We’ve probably heard this saying many times before, but in this case it’s not referring to a structure with a roof but rather to Martin and Jaymee who have found home in each other. Their engagement shoot taken in a beautiful outdoor setting is both rustic and sweet. The grasslands combined with leather suitcases, wicker baskets, and lavender sprigs bring their own unique story to life. Special thanks to We Are Origami for these amazing photos. Personally, I think night time photography is one of the most difficult to get right, but the shots of this couple prove to be their best — wrapped in fairy lights and glow-in-the-dark candles show an intimacy that otherwise couldn’t be captured during the day! J’adore!
