We’re travelling back through time to an old English garden… in Hong Kong. Yes, believe it or not, this next engagement session was actually shot right here at home. Floreta and Ho’s vintage-style shoot in this enchanting rose garden is such a breath of fresh air. I love that they dared to be different — from the location, to Floreta’s Victorian dress, to the deep red florals. With Sophia Kwan behind the lens, the photos are like painted scenes from classic romantic novels. Excuse me while I go and make myself a nice cuppa!
Last Wednesday, I had the privilege of attending a contemporary bridal showcase at The Langham‘s elegant Palm Court lounge in commemoration of the prestigious hotel’s 150-year history. It was a feast in every sense. Guests got to marvel at exquisite jewelry by Melville Fine Jewellery and Hatton Studios on top of couture dresses by designer-extraordinaire Noel Chu while enjoying The Langham’s signature Afternoon Tea with Wedgewood experience. The result of this collaboration was so inspiring that I just had to share it with you all. Be sure to scroll all the way to the bottom to find out about some special offers!
To mark this special occasion, The Langham is extending the following offers:
- Couples who book their wedding with at least 150 guests will be allowed to lease these designer jewellery pieces on their wedding day.
- Couples can save HK$800 on each table for new weddings booked from 1 November 2015 – 30 April 2016, with complimentary decorative backdrop, reception table and personalised wedding gift from 1 May – 31 December 2016.
- Enjoy 15% off on the afternoon tea and receive a complimentary glass of champagne for the month of June and July 2015 just by saying “150th Anniversary” when making reservations.

It’s hard not to fall head-over-heels in love with a wedding as pretty as this one. Despite being held at a familiar venue, Caroline and Ivan’s outdoor ceremony at the Verandah in Repulse Bay felt fresh and romantic especially with Divine Floreal‘s gorgeous floral creations. Beautifully captured by Jada Poon Photography, it’s a wedding that’s overflowing with details that are straight out of a French fairytale. Pin your hearts out!
Get ready to pick your jaws up off the floor. This next collection by Lebanese couture designer, Krikor Jabotian, is fit for a queen. United Journal has set my heart in a flutter with Isabella and Oscar’s engagement in picturesque Cambridge. With only a few historical buildings, grassy fields, and the vast blue sky as witnesses and with the styling kept simple and sweet, it shows that you don’t really need much to pull off a timeless and elegant engagement.
