A Stylish Portrait Session Featuring a Japanese Traditional Wedding Kimono

“It’s always fun try something new,” says Hong Kong makeup artist and organizer of this stunning portrait session, Sarah’s Bridal Styling. Hence, for this photo session, Sarah went for a Japanese-inspired theme featuring The Shiromuku 白無垢, a traditional Japanese wedding kimono from Lune Lapin. Sarah and the team adopted modern approach for the shoot, so a touch of metallic elements were added to the look like the custom-blended a coppery red lip color paired with a golden sunset eye makeup palette. The team also decided to work with Mizuhiki 水引 on the bride’s hair, imitating the shape of flowing water. All these  elements complemented the traditional look effortlessly and resulted in stunning photos! Stepping out of your comfort zone is truly worthwhile because when you challenge your creativity you might just unearth untapped beauty.  Jennifer Ying‘s photos will not disappoint so see all the photos now below.
