7 Fun Bridal Shower Games For The Bachelorette Party

Planning a bridal shower for your bestie bride? The key to an enjoyable bridal shower lies in the experience, and that includes the kinds of games you will be playing with the girls. If you have yet to decide on the bridal shower games for your upcoming bridal shower, you’ve come to the right place. Here are fun games you can definitely add to the programme!

(1) Classic Taboo with a Bridal Twist

If you know the game taboo, then you’re aware that this game requires team members to guess certain words. For the bridal shower however, it makes perfect sense to keep all the words to be guessed in theme! Prepare a list of wedding-related words or even words related to the bride and groom and their relationship and use these for the game. Don’t forget to include a list of restricted words as well so that the person describing the word to be guessed knows which words to avoid.

How it works: Split the girls into two teams, A and B. Team A goes first and has to pick someone who will be describing the words that the rest of the team members need to guess. She must not use any of the restricted words. The team has one minute and can guess as many words within that minute. After the minute is up, it’s Team B’s turn. The team that guesses the most number of words wins.

(2) Couple Trivia

This is a really simple games that just involves answering trivia or questions about the couple. Sounds boring? Here’s how you can take it up a level: include interesting, funny, and unusual trivia. For example, you can ask questions like, who had a crush on the other first, what was the bride and groom’s first impression of the other, what was the most embarrassing moment while dating, and so on. You can offer multiple choice answers for the game. This is a great way for everyone to learn more about the groom and the couple’s relationship. You’ll just need to prepare for this game by interviewing the couple beforehand.

How it works: Split the bride tribe into groups of 2-3–smaller groups are better–or have them answer individually on a sheet of paper. The team or person who gets the most number of correct answers wins!

(3) Best Wedding Dress Design

The original game makes use of tissue paper rolls to design a wedding dress. But since this is not a very environment-friendly option, let’s go for a simpler version that is also kinder on the environment. This game will bring out the bridesmaids’ creativity!

How it works: Print out copies of woman’s figure of pieces of paper. Distribute this to the bridesmaids and have them design and draw the wedding gown that they think best suits the bride-to-be. The bride-to-be should not be able to see the bridesmaids’ drawings. Once everyone is done. The bride-to-be take a look at the drawings and choose her favorite. The chosen design wins! In addition, the bride can also try to guess who drew each dress.

(4) Charades or Pictionary Wedding Movies Edition

We all know and love the classic games Charades and Pictionary. For the bridal shower, go for wedding themed movies to align with the event of the day. There are many movies you can use!

How it works: For Charades, group the girls into two groups. Each group must choose a representative that will be the actor for each round which lasts a minute. The teams will take turns during each round and the chosen actor from each team will pick wedding movie titles from a list and act them out. The rest of the team members have to try to guess as many movies during each round. The team with the most number of correct guesses wins! For Pictionary, follow the same flow but instead of having to act out the movie titles, the team representative has to draw it.

(5) Wedding Words Scramble

This game is simple, it’s all about teamwork to try to find out what word can be formed with jumbled up letters. You can go for wedding-related words or even words or phrases that are about the bride-to-be and the couple. For this game, you’ll need to prepare the words and phrases and cut them out into letters and place them in small envelopes.

How it works: Divide the bride tribe once again into 2 teams. Each team will be given the same words or phrases that need to be solved at the same time. The team that solves the word or phrase first gets a point and the team with the most number of points wins!

(6) Cold Feet

If your gal pals are okay to get their feet a little wet, this game is fun and will be a true test of will power and determination! It involves cold feet, literally, and skills in pulling up rings from icy water.

How it works: Fill one large tub with water and a lot of ice then drop in several rings inside it. Let the bridesmaids take turns pulling up rings from the tub using their feet. Each girl has 30 seconds each to try pulling up as many rings as they can. The bridesmaid with the most number of rings out of the water wins!

(7) Pin the Veil on the Bride

Are you familiar with the game called, Pin the Tail on the Donkey? This game is a variation of that one. Instead of pinning the tail on the donkey, participants need to pin the veil on the bride. There are actually many ways to adopt this game for a bridal shower. If you want to do something on the naughty side, you can also use a photo of the bride’s celebrity crush and have the girls try to kiss the photo on the lips! For now, let’s go with the wholesome version but in the real party, I’ll leave you to decide which final version of the game to adopt.

How it works: Prepare a large poster with a picture of the bride. Each bridesmaid will take turns trying to pin the veil on the right position of the photo while blindfolded. Don’t forget to spin the participant 3 times before walking towards the picture!

There you have it! Seven fun games that you and the rest of the girls can enjoy with your bride-to-be before she becomes a Mrs.
