What kind of wedding favor is environmentally friendly, cute, and easy to make on your own? We’ve got the answer! Introducing our D.I.Y. Potted Plant Favors project. Is it environmentally friendly? Yes, your guests may can take this home and use it as home decoration. Is it cute? Absolutely! In fact, you can choose plants that match your wedding theme, too. This way, they can also be table decorations, too. Lastly, are these favors easy to make on your own? Of course! And to show you how you can create these on your own, we broke it down for you in this blog post. Read on to learn how you can recreate this D.I.Y. project for your wedding day! Enjoy.
What You Need:
- Gold spray paint, or any other color of choice
- Hard paper our plant tags template: “Grow in Love” Tag Template, “Let Love Grow” Tag Template, “Thank You” Tag Template
- Scissors
- Thin sticks or toothpicks
- Decoration Tape
- A Puncher
- Plant Pots
- Choice of Plants
Step 1: Spray paint your pots and let them dry.
Step 2: Print out and cut the template you want to use for your potted plants.
Step 3: Secure toothpicks on the back of the tags with washi tape. Or punch a hole at the top of cutouts you wish to hang around the pots.
Step 4: Insert the cutouts that your previously punched into the string and secure the ends using the decoration tape.
Step 5: Once your pots have dried, assemble everything together and you’re done!
