Shark fin soup has been a popular dish for the Chinese for centuries. It’s a symbol of luxury and once used to be only available for the upper class. The dish was known to be “fit for an Emperor” and when served, it was a reflection of a family’s wealth and affluence. Today, with increasing awareness of how the widespread consumption of shark fin soup has negatively affected the environment and ecosystem, more and more Chinese and Chinese restaurants have taken action and initiative to forego this dish at parties, celebrations, and weddings. You might be wondering, what can be served in the place of shark fin soup? There are many alternatives for your choosing! Here are a few suggestions from our partners in the industry. Later on, she changed into a stylish modern wedding dress that accentuated her petite frame. Moving on to the styling and decorations, what is not to love about their navy-themed garden wedding? The deep blue hue added that extra depth to the outdoor venue while the pastel accents made the look extra chic. Showcasing your talent is one way to make your personality come out in any photo session. And because today’s muse, Jenny, is a painter, the team decided to showcase her unique gift. She brought a beautiful portrait panting on set and this became the focal point of inspiration for the photo shoot. To complement the beautiful painting by Jenny, a colorful fruit-filled table display was laid out. Feminine decorations were hung on the while walls at the studio at the Aisle–not too much, but enough to accentuate Jenny and her craft. Jenny’s outfit was equally beguiling. She wore stylish embellished gowns from Amire The Bridal Closet and delicate accessories by Down the Aisle Atelier. We truly appreciate seeing all these photos by Sophia Kwan and encourage all brides-to-be to do the same–show who you are!
