But for Katie and Jim, these went for something more intimate–an indoor portrait session at Rosewood Hong Kong. Looking at their photos taken by Hilary Chan, it was good idea to turn to a place with beautiful indoor details for their shoot. This Bride Planned Two Weddings From Across the Globe and with a Tight Schedule

After a private, spontaneous engagement last year, Dorothee and Nicholas decided they wanted two weddings to accommodate family members at different parts of the world. For the two, the planning process was exhausting as they were coordinating everything from far away and were running on a very tight schedule. They also faced challenges with some requests on traditions. But through it all, they made compromises and pulled off two beautiful weddings. Today, we have the stunning photos from their Hong Kong wedding by . Based on her planning journey, Dorothee shared with us three tips for brides-to-be: 1) Don’t be shy to ask for help. Wedding planning is mentally and physically taxing; 2) Hire a wedding planner to help get that stress off your plate; and 3) Be careful with referrals. Romantic Pre-wedding Shoot at the Hong Kong Government Flying Service Hangar

Today’s pre-wedding feature is unique and is inspired by the groom-to-be’s profession. Alex, the soon-to-be husband of Saria, works as a winchman for the Hong Kong Government Flying Service (HKGFS). HKGFS provides the search and rescue and firefighting service for Hong Kong, both on land and at sea. As a winchman, Alex’s role is to go down on the mechanical winch to rescue people stuck on lifeboats, ships and sometimes, beaches and cliffs. For their engagement photoshoot, Alex and Saria chose to shoot at the HKGFS hangar surrounded by rescue helicopters. Through their photos taken by Jamie Oubsy, we get to see bits and pieces of Alex’s profession as well as the love that he shares with Saria. Saria is obviously beaming with pride for her fiancé and every bit excited for this new life together.
