To celebrate and empower the modern day women, the first launch of portrait photography exhibition series by Hong Kong photographer Jada Poon, “Not a Superwoman”, is held at the Bespoke Salon of The Landmark on 10-12 July 2020.

Jada Poon, who left her legal career after studying law at Oxford University to pursue photography and a mission, hopes to bring to light the fragile magnificence of humanity and has a powerful story to tell through her creations and her own story.

The exhibition, named ‘Not a Super Woman’, explores going beyond the surface of women who appear to be successful and look on the outside like a ‘superwoman’. The title explores our shared humanity – that behind every successful appearance are the same fears, struggles and desires, manifested in different forms and stories.

“I envision that we can, through portraiture and storytelling, become a part of each woman’s journey to healing or self-understanding. I envision that in creating resonance, we can encourage women in Hong Kong to pursue your dreams and find the strength to stay authentic and vulnerable, and that you can still be a good person and succeed in your work,” says Jada.

Jada will be donating 5% of proceeds from all her portrait shoots this year to Mother’s Choice.
