5 Ways To Support Your Engaged Friends During COVID-19

Your best friend is supposed to get married this year but postponed her wedding date to next year. Your cousin, likewise, his looking for another date in 2021 to wed. Meanwhile, your colleague at work still hasn’t decided on whether to push through or postpone his wedding which is set late this year. Left and right, you witness the struggles of brides and grooms-to-be and you stop and think if there’s anything you can do. Yes, you can help your friends in more ways than one! We listed out some suggestions for you. If you have friends who are engaged and planning their wedding at this moment, here’s what you can to to show your love and support. Read on.

 

(1) Be there to listen.

Listen to them. You don’t always have to comment or have a solution to their problems. They might just need someone to vent out all their frustrations to.

 

(2) Plan out a virtual party.

To take your friends’ mind off things, plan a simple online party. A little fun with shed off all the stress of wedding planning amidst a pandemic. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy either. You can do some fun games, activities, or just have some drinks online.

 

(3) Talk about other things, not the wedding.

Girl talk—not wedding talk—will help, so have lots of chats about everything else under the sun, from the latest Netflix series you’re bingeing on, to all the cute things you’ve recently bought online.

 

(4) Send a care package.

A surprise by mail always puts a smile on anyone’s face. So cheer your friends up by sending a sweet care package when they least expect it! Food is always a good idea, but if you have other items in mine, by all means, send any of those over, too.

 

(5) Offer to help.

With everything going on and your friends’ worrying constantly, offer to help them out in whatever way. It doesn’t have to be related to just the wedding, you can offer to help them or support them in other ways.

 

 

The most important thing is to be there when your friends need help. It’s a very trying time for them and your love and support will mean the world to them, in whatever form that may be.
