6 Government-Approved Venues in Hong Kong

Bet you didn’t think the government was interested in your wedding? Well, guess what, they are! The Leisure and Cultural Services Department manages and maintains these six different venues. They cater to all kinds of brides and grooms too. From a seaside backdrop, to an outdoorsy garden, or even holding a ceremony at historic sites, there is definitely a place for all the lovely couples-to-be to swap I do’s here in Hong Kong. 1.) Lei Yue Mun Park  

The chapel is actually a historic building that was modelled after 20th century European architecture.

  • Capacity: 120 people
  • Operating Hours: Daily from 9am-10pm
  • Rate: HK$3,170 for the first 4 hours, + HK$325 overtime

2.) Repulse Bay Beach

One can choose whether to have the ceremony by the seaside pavilion with a garden area or the sandy area by the beach.

  • Capacity: 100 people
  • Operating Hours: Daily from 9.30am-5pm
  • Rate: HK$2,970 for the first 4 hours, + HK$230 overtime

3.) Kowloon Tsai Park (Bauhinia Garden)

This beautiful park is surrounded by Bauhinia trees which would make for a scenic garden wedding.

  • Capacity: 150 people
  • Operating Hours: Daily from 9am-6pm
  • Rate: HK$2,970 for the first 4 hours, + HK$230 overtime

4.) Kowloon Walled City Park

For the history buffs out there, this venue is steeped in history as seen in how its’ styled in early Qing dynasty architecture with gorgeous pavilions and ponds too.

  • Capacity: 10o people
  • Operating Hours: Daily from 9am-6pm
  • Rate: HK$2,970 for the first 4 hours, + HK$230 overtime

5.) Tai Po Waterfront Park 

It has a lush lawn and canopied ampitheater. Guests can even take in a panoramic view of Tolo Harbour atop the Lookout Tower.

6.) Sai Kung Waterfront 

At a conveniently located part of Hong Kong, the bride and groom will still have a private space to hold the ceremony with amazing scenery.
